Dr Naren Chellappah OAM (Retired)

Although now retired, Dr Naren's legacy continues through the values and high standard of care that remain at the heart of Weston Dental Surgery today.
Dr Naren Chellappah OAM graduated from the University of London in 1975 and dedicated more than four decades to the dental profession, including over 30 years caring for the Weston Creek community.
Following postgraduate studies in England, Dr Naren spent 10 years teaching at the University of Singapore's Faculty of Dentistry, where he helped educate and mentor the next generation of dental professionals. In 1990, he established Weston Dental Surgery in Canberra, creating a practice founded on compassion, clinical excellence, and patient-centred care.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Naren was committed to providing high-quality dentistry while building lasting relationships with his patients and the wider community. His dedication to the profession and his service to the community were recognised with the prestigious Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).

Dr Nithya Chellappah

Dr Nithya Chellappah graduated from Griffith University in 2010 and has been dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred dental care for 16 years. Early in her career, she completed a postgraduate program in Implant Dentistry through the University of Melbourne and has continued to expand her expertise with advanced training in Aesthetic Dentistry and Endodontics—two areas she is especially passionate about.
As a fully accredited Invisalign® provider, Dr Nithya loves helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalised treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.
Known for her gentle and compassionate approach, Dr Nithya is committed to making dentistry a comfortable, accessible, and positive experience for patients of all ages. She believes that education is just as important as treatment and enjoys empowering patients with the knowledge and skills to maintain excellent oral health for life.

Susan Melrose
Dental Hygienist
Susan first joined Weston Dental Surgery in 1993 as a Dental Assistant, beginning a long-standing connection with the practice and the Weston Creek community.
She later went on to complete her Dental Hygienist qualification through the University of Queensland while serving in the Royal Australian Navy for 10 years. This experience helped shape her calm, thorough, and patient-focused approach to care.
Susan is passionate about providing gentle, up-to-date hygiene care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. She enjoys helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in maintaining their oral health.

Dr Aaron D’Amico
BMedSci (ANU), DMD (UWA)
Dr Aaron D’Amico began his healthcare journey by completing a Bachelor of Medical Science at the Australian National University in 2018 before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Western Australia in 2022.
Committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care, Dr Aaron regularly undertakes continuing professional development and has completed further training in implant dentistry and nitrous oxide sedation. His areas of interest include periodontal care, restorative dentistry, minimally invasive dentistry, and taking a holistic approach to each patient’s oral health.
Dr Aaron enjoys working closely with patients to create personalised treatment plans that support healthy, confident smiles in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Outside the clinic, Aaron enjoys exploring the outdoors through camping and four-wheel driving, making the most of Australia's incredible landscapes.
